Hello Everyone,
My name is Maayan Hotam. I am a designer and artisan, and the founder of Fontém handbags.
From a very young age, my mother constantly nurtured my endless attraction for art and creation. I fell in love with the quest for excellence in art and craftsmanship, and sought to immerse myself in the many details that comprise this world.
After a fulfilling career as a professional ballet dancer, I decided to pursue my second dream and enter the world of fashion and design. I completed my studies at one of Italy’s most prestigious schools, and then returned home to establish my own studio, where I founded Fontém.
Fontém is nestled in the sunny hills of southern California, where the stupendous ocean and the abundance of nature, provide fertile ground for my creativity and inspiration. The brand was born out of my desire to create tailor-made bags that are as unique as their owners, each one imprinted with words that hold deep meaning for them.
Each Fontém bag is handmade by me, with unwavering love, attention to detail, and uncompromising standards, using only the finest materials from Italy.
