I am slightly disappointed by what I received. Not only it took a long time for the seller to answer my easily after contacting her a few times, but also, for $32 I can't believe I received such a small piece of paper. It is my fault for not reading measurements, but it does not look like the picture. The gold is not metallic. So it is of no use and I am saddened about it.
How my shop came about
Foosie Design is a homegrown "art to life" design studio founded in 2008 by Owner + Designer + Me, Erin LaFavor. Getting it's first legs as a Custom Stationery shop, Foosie Design has grown to include Textiles + Home Decor to it's offerings, as well as a full service Graphic Design Boutique.
As my designs are inspired by our real life adventures and travels, It's hard to talk about Foosie Design without talking a bit about my little family. After meeting My amazing husband Brandon at a music festival at the Gorge Amphitheater in Eastern Washington in 2007, we both knew right away that this was it. Brandon was living in Oregon at the time, and I was living in Seattle designing for a wholesale letterpress stationery company, Real Card Studio.
In a grand fashion (on stage at a Michael Franti concert) Brandon asked me to be his wife and I moved down to Eugene, Oregon to start our life together. This meant leaving my wonderful job in Seattle, and with the job market being what it was after the recession in 2008, I decided that it was time to go out on my own. I was so pumped to get started that I designed my first Wedding, Baby, and Holiday stationery collection, and was ready to hit the ground running. A friend tipped me off to a website she found called Etsy.com, and I thought this would be a great way to supplement my income while I was rolling out my wholesale line. Well the roll out never happened. Etsy seemed to have blown up overnight, and I was soon finding myself working directly with brides on custom wedding packages and save the dates, and my first holiday season was an unbelievable success.
After our Hood River wedding in 2010, it was time to start a family, and our baby girl was born in the winter in winter of 2011. With the Etsy shop in full swing, I was able to stay home and was a mama and business owner all at the same time. When Jillian was 6 months old, Brandon was offered an amazing opportunity as the Overseas Study Coordinator at the University of Bridgeport bringing us out east to Connecticut and close to my family.
I'm so thrilled that I've had the opportunity of begin able to share my art and design through Etsy.com and I'm forever grateful to all the fantastic folks who've invited Foosie Design into their lives and homes.
Life is Good, and I can't wait for the rest!
I've had the fantastic fortune of being a working artist for the last 13 yrs spanning Advertising, Events, Retail/Wholesale, and Product Manufacturing. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to design art that people invite into their lives and home.
