For best fit I recommend comparing measurements given to those of a similarly cut garment you own that fits you well.

1920s items should fit loosely. In general I recommend at least 2" of wiggle room between your measurements and dress measurements.

I do not allow refunds or returns based on size so please check measurements carefully and ask all questions before purchasing. Items may be pinned to fit dress form.

I am always happy to supply additional measurements or answer questions.

I try to ship daily-some purchases made early morning will ship same day. Otherwise I try to ship with in a day. Please contact me prior to purchase if you would like to insure your order during shipment. Insurance is not included in the listed postage cost. I am always happy to combine shipping for a discount. Please keep in mind that all items are antique or vintage, used, and sold AS IS. I describe items to the best of my ability. Some very minor flaws may not be noted. If you would like additional details or photos of any of my listed items please ask before purchasing. Please keep in mind that colors may vary based on computer monitor.

I cannot predict how a vintage item will wear and will not accept returns if an item becomes damaged after it has been received by the buyer. This applies especially to antique items, which can be especially delicate.

Layaway is available for all items. Please contact me to set up a payment plan.

All layaway payments are nonrefundable, and if a payment is late layaway may be terminated, or a daily late fee applied.

I do offer coupons on occasion and return customers do automatically receive a 20% discount coupon. Check my main page for any specials.

If you would like to reserve an item, please contact me. Keep in mind that by reserving an item you commit to buying that item. A non-refundable deposit may be required for holds.

I consider many pieces sold here to be artifacts of an earlier time. As such I work to preserve and document them for future generations as best I can. I personally take a conservator's approach to the preservation of these textiles and recommend that they be cleaned and laundered as infrequently as possible.

Refer to the measurements, always always always! I encourage this because there is such a range of measurements that can exist within a size number. Also, certain brands vanity size, and older items are going to be much smaller, despite saying size 12, for example. Theres SO much variation, that it is always best to just measure yourself or compare to the measurements of a garment that fits you.

If it is a reasonable discount, it doesn't hurt to ask!

Unfortunately I cannot wash every item that comes through my shop. However I do steam every item (unless it is leather or fur). Steaming helps release odors and also kills off anything worrisome. Some items have been hand washed, but like I state in my policies, part of what keeps my prices so low is not paying to dry-clean every item. If there are stains, washable marks, or odors, these are always mentioned in the listing. I advise washing your items before wear, though, since some are more than 80 years old. Convo me for any advice on washing your item!
