Forged and Foraged
Forged and Foraged is the love child of couple Eric Thrice (of Atlanta's Southern Star Tattoo) and Ashley Bru working as a team and even a family affair when are out at markets and events. Spending countless hours in our workshop, we get inspired and motivated by one another and the various visions we both may have by looking at the same materials to give items new life. Most projects end up being a collaboration of our ideas and we enjoy sharing it with the world together.
Forged came about from our passion of searching for unique items and our hobby of constantly making and creating one- of - a kinds. This natural urge is almost a primal instinct for creating things that do not exist: use what you have, find what you need. The items we use intrigue us and our appreciation for each of them allow them to inspire us to be innovative with different materials. The materials we forage inspire us - an old railroad spike may become a hand-forged knife, old pants become home-made micarta for jewelry and knife handles.
Forged and Foraged sells items online on our etsy shop and we stay connected with our followers on Instagram (both ForgedandForaged). There is something for everyone from metalwork and hand-forged knives, jewelry, unique wall decor , and antiques to name a few.
We have a genuine love for the items we find and use in our artwork. The fact that people appreciate and support what we do truly just makes it that much more fulfilling. We have had the most fun and success being out at any local Atlanta events we hear out about. The relationships we have built and support other local makers and artists have been a huge factor in our involvement with these events. We constantly connect with other local artists informing one another about different markets, trading and supporting crafts, and appreciating their work and understanding that the variety of what we all do make each event we are apart of successful such a great experience.
We thank you for your support!
