My name is Arvis Sproģis, and I'm the founder and designer behind FORMAGNIFICA.
I grew up surrounded by the calm nature of rural Latvia – rivers, forests, silence. That’s where I first discovered the joy of making things with my hands. From carving wooden spoons in a shed to sketching new ideas, creativity has always been my way of connecting with the world.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve worked with metal – my chosen material – shaping everything from delicate lighting fixtures to architectural-scale projects like a glass elevator in Berlin and the restoration of the iconic Laima Clock in Riga. I learned how steel can be both strong and graceful. When combined with wood, glass, stone, or leather – it speaks of contrast, craftsmanship and balance.
FORMAGNIFICA is my way of bringing that philosophy into people’s homes.
Together with my wife Sintija – a designer and photographer – we create furniture and home accents that celebrate elegant proportions, ergonomic comfort, and timeless form. Each item is crafted in small batches with great care and the idea that function and beauty should always coexist.
Whether it’s a custom bar stool, a sculptural table or a refined coat rack, we aim to design pieces that add calm, clarity and character to everyday life.
