Freckled Dragonfly's Origins and Growth
I created my first dreamcatcher over 20 years ago. I love the historical Native American traditions, spiritually connected stories, and natural mandala-like feel to these amazing creations. I found that weaving these beauties put me in a zen-like, meditative, calm state; so naturally, I wanted to make them again and again! It felt only right and natural to add powerful healing crystals and gemstones to the earthy landscape the dreamcatchers created with their curved wood and sinew. Soon after beginning to work with the crystals, I found that I have a natural intuitive connection to them and to peoples' natural need for them.
I was determined to learn and experience more of the origins of these beauties. I soon found a local Native American based group called, Turtle Lodge. Through Turtle Lodge's guidance, leadership and support, I began to grow at an exponential rate. I delved deeply into my own spirituality through sweat lodges, spirit singing, and other gatherings and teachings. As I expanded and grew, so did my craft. I have created powerful healing dreamcatchers and jewelry for people battling cancer and other diseases, gentle protective ones for newborns, inspirational ones for those in need of refreshing energy, empowering ones for those in need of personal direction and a myriad of others too varied to count. In every creation I make: be it dreamcatcher, jewelry, or something else, I keep constantly in mind my wish to release positive energy and joy to another. I feel as though the energy stored within these beauties is as palpable as an embrace from me to you. And for me, that's the whole point- I just want to spread the love I hold in my heart to all of you!
More recently, I have been been growing my craft by delving ever deeper into myself and beginning Intuitive Creation with Spirit Guidance. This is how my Sacred Yonis were birthed into this world. They have a depth, strength, power and symbolism that is palpable and much needed in our current world atmosphere. I will forever continue to work on Positive Growth until my last breath.
