Vintage, handmade, folk art items handpicked for YOU
Here's a breakdown of what I choose:
HANDMADE--I love pieces that are one of a kind. They're often marked with an individual artist's signature but if not you can still tell something about the maker through their unique style.
VINTAGE--It's not always easy to tell how old a piece is, and if I don't know I don't put a date in the description; if the piece is dated I'll note it.
FOLK ART--When I use the word 'folk' I'm generally referring to qualities like appealingly simple or wonky design and the use of hand tools, not large scale production. I try to buy items that are in overall good shape and might do only minor restoration on certain pieces (re-gluing a piece that has fallen off, etc) which I will note in my item description.
HAND PICKED--All the items in my shop are chosen by me from thrift stores and garage/estate sales. I'm a special sucker for: animal themed sculpture, anything to do with flowers and plants, hand painted landscapes, miniatures, signatures with dedications, anything with houses...it goes on.
