Two wandering adventurers find a domestic side
Adam and Sage spend a lot of time outside working as field biologists. When they come home after months of being away they both like to dive in to their shops and make things. Adam has converted the garage into his wood shop, and Sage has commandeered a desk in the office as a sewing space.
We started woodworking and sewing in order to remodel our house, and we both fell in love with making things. Adam started out with building a simple book case, and now has built all of the cabinets in our house, frames for the art on our walls, the chairs we sit in while living in our camper, and the bottle openers we use to crack a beer at the end of the day. He is constantly trying new designs, learning new tricks and techniques, and cranking out new batches of old favorites.
Sage was a nomadic adventurer before meeting Adam, and never could find space in her truck for a sewing machine or a pile of fabric. Now that she has settled into a house she found space to store a fabric collection, set up a sewing machine, and start stitching up whatever seems fun to make. These days she has been making batches of whimsical owl and mountain pillows, hoody towels, and puppets for all the kids in her life (Adam and Sage have a new Nephew, as well as many friends who have kids). Going to the library and checking out loads of sewing books has proven to be a fun way to find the next sewing project.
