Lucy started creating and developing her unique product ideas in her head whilst watching her young children play daily in their greenhouse. Lucy set out with no financial backing, no contacts and a sketchbook full of ideas, to become one of the most creative and talented illustrators & product designers in the UK.

FromLucy quickly grew from a one woman show into a highly regarded business with a team of creatives in just three years. FromLucy now enjoys a wide range of clientele, including Holly Willoughby, Fearne Cotton, Emma Willis, Coleen Rooney and even the Royal Family!

Today, FromLucy is the destination for personalised illustrated gifts and beautiful products to celebrate every occasion. FromLucy is also the home of the Hedgehugs brand of children’s books, cards and gifts.

Shipping

We will deliver the Products ordered by you to the address which you give for delivery when you make your order. If any of the details you have given us in your delivery address are incorrect, we are not liable for any items which have not been received.

You may specify a delivery address which is different from your billing address, if, for example, you would like us to deliver the Products directly to a friend, a relative, or to your place of work.

We currently deliver to the UK, and also to Ireland [Eire], Canada and the USA. Customers wishing delivery to other countries may contact us for a shipping quote.

Delivery will be made as soon as possible and usually within 7 days of receipt of your order. Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.00pm. We only process and dispatch orders during these timescales. All delivery and dispatch timescales quoted on the website do not include weekends or bank holidays.

Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods on the day we specify, we cannot guarantee delivery on that day or accept liability for deliveries made outside this timescale. This also applies to products sent direct from our manufacturers. We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries

Some postal addresses in Northern Ireland, some offshore islands and some remote areas of Great Britain may not be covered by our normal delivery services and so we may have to contact you to advise you of extra postal charges.

If you do not receive Products ordered by you within 28 days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us by email at info [!at] fromlucy.com of the problem within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the Products.

The majority of our products are despatched 2nd Class Royal Mail and FedEx/Parcel Force courier delivery. If you have not received your items, you must check with your local sorting office / courier depot even if you have not received notification from your postman that they are holding items for you.

In the event that we reproduce an item for you and subsequently the original is returned as undelivered by Royal Mail, we reserve the right to charge an administrative fee up to 100% of the sales price of the reproduced product.

We reserve the right to wait up to 10 working days from the date of despatch before taking further action regarding an undelivered item.

There is a mistake in my book, what should I do?
If the mistake was made by us please send us a message and we will replace your book. If the mistake was due to incorrect information given by you, sadly you will need to order again. Please double check your order information to check whose fault it was before contacting us.

My order has been damaged in transit, what should I do?
Please send us a photo of the damage and we will arrange a replacement or partial refund.

I have put in the wrong address, what should I do?
Please contact us ASAP and we will do our very best to change the address. Unfortunately, if it has already left the studio you will have to order again, or wait in the hope that it is eventually returned to us and we will send it again, (please note this can take many weeks.)

The book says ‘out of stock’ when will it be back?
Don’t panic! We never really sell out of our books because they are all made to order, sometimes the system gets confused. Just check the next day and it will be back!

Can I add an extra message/dedication to my book?
We can only include the information that we prompt. Unfortunately, there isn’t always room for additional messages.

Can I have more than one child in my ‘Why I’m Daddy’s Girl/Boy’ book?
Sadly, we can only include one child in this book at the moment, we hope to change this in the future. If you want to include more children may we suggest you have a look at the ‘Dear Daddy’ book in our store.

I would like to see a preview of my finished book before I buy it, is that possible?
If you want to see the book in full you can order it directly from our website, FromLucy dot com.

Can you gift wrap my order?
No, we are not able to offer this service at the moment.

Can you adjust the main text of the story for me?
No, we can only adjust the personalised areas, the main text is fixed.

Frequently asked questions

How long will it take for my book to get to me?

If you are in the UK, AUS or the USA your book should be with you between and 7 – 14 days after your order date. You will see an estimated delivery date on our store when you place your order.
If you are somewhere else in the world delivery times vary and can take up to one month.
If you are a USA customer your book is created in the UK and printed and sent from San Jose, California. If you are an AUS customer your book is created in the UK and printed and sent from NSW, AUS. If you are a UK or rest of the world customer your book is created, printed and shipped from Devon, England.

Will my book be tracked? Can I have a tracking number?

If you are in the USA yes, your book will be sent via USPS and will have a tracking number. Due to the huge volume of orders we receive we will not issue you with a tracking number as standard. Please only contact us for a tracking number if your order has not arrived by the estimated delivery date, we can assure you it has been sent and will be with you very soon!
If you are in the UK your book will be sent Royal Mail 48 service and cannot be tracked.
If you are in the 'Rest Of World' Your order will be sent using Royal Mail worldwide. We can upgrade this service to a tracked courier service for an additional £15. Please link an enquiry to your order if you would like to do this (we recommend it if you are keen to get your order ASAP)

How do I personalise a book with my information?

When you click on the book to order it you will see the wording ‘Add your personalisation’ with a list of questions underneath. Copy and paste this question list into the customizable box below and add your answers after the colon :

My book arrived damaged - what should I do?

We are always sorry to hear that your book has arrived damaged. Please contact us with photos of the book and the packaging it came in and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note that if you would like any information in the book changing before we send out a replacement, this will require an admin fee to cover the cost of a member of our team having to redo the book by hand.

How many children can be added to most books?

In most books we do up to 4 kids and adjust grammar and illustrations accordingly. This will be shown in a dropdown option - if there's no dropdown, we only offer the book for one child.
