The Story of FuzzBird
My life long passion for cartoons and animated films inspired me to work towards a career in this industry. After leaving school in 2006 I studied BA Digital Art at the University of the West of Scotland gaining a Second Class Honours Degree in 2010. Discovering a love for bringing characters to life in my films I decided to take my studies further with the MA Character Animation course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, where I gained a Merit Masters Degree in 2013. Since graduating I have taken part in a few course to further my education. In December 2015 I traveled to the Isle of Skye for the first of two courses run by King Rollo Films, Designing backgrounds for Animation. The second of these courses was Character Animation in CelAction 2D which took place in January 2016. Most recently in April 2016, I took part in a two day course hosted by Stephen Silver on Character Design for Animation held in Kilmacolm. I love traveling all over the Scotland attending conventions and festivals with my artwork. I am constantly inspired by life around me and carry a sketchbook for drawing what I see, often triggering my next idea for a film.
