Rory Garforth - Analog + Digital Photography
I’m a photographer from Calderdale, West Yorkshire, with a passion for landscape photography and the great outdoors. My images reflect my interests in travel and the environment, influenced by my South Yorkshire roots.
Over time, I've developed a preference for black & white photography, natural light, and on-location shoots over studio work. My work is produced both digitally and on film, showcasing the beauty of South Yorkshire, the UK, and Europe. Living near the Pennines and North Yorkshire, I draw inspiration from this stunning region and the people I meet.
I've exhibited in local galleries and featured in Digital Photographer and Digital SLR User magazines. My work has been used at musical events for projections and publicity materials and for local companies and private clients.
All my photographs are available for purchase on Etsy, printed with state-of-the-art digital ink on Epson Lightfast Premium Luster Paper, ensuring longevity up to 100 years.
For image licensing, a selection of my work is available through Millennium Images.
Regarding gear, I believe the photographer's skill is paramount. However, for those interested, I use a Leica M10 and Fuji Xpro2 with various Leica and Fuji primes for digital photography. For film, I use a Hasselblad 501c, Leica M6, and toy cameras like a Holga, Diana Black Jack+, and a pinhole camera.
