As Mid-Century babies, we perched on Gramma’s plastic-wrapped sofa eyeballing China cabinets filled with rarely-used wedding China, sparkling crystal and eye-catching knick-knacks. Vaults filled with Life-long collections of cherished gifts handed down through generations, crafted by Masterful hands, touched by few and cherished by many.
Now our visits to Estate Sales are as exciting as they are humbling. The old chestnut "You can't take it with you..." rings truer-than-true and we take solemn pride and joy in our gentle vocation ...re-discovering those beloved treasures, and finding them a new admirer. Turned out what we always loved became an International business!
Anyone who has moved or found themselves handling a Loved One's Estate, learns that in the final logistics, those lifelong collections are ofttimes bagged up and put on the curb, or donated to Charity. Often there is simply no more room on the moving truck, or simply, all your best efforts became exhausted. GSaleHunter? We see ourselves as Guardians on the brink of that Abyss, rescuing someone's lifelong beloved passion being wrongly sacrificed to the landfill.
David and Catherine are the GSaleHunters in Maryland USA. We have proudly run two 5-Star rated shops on eBay and Etsy, plus our own [dot]com for over a decade. As a husband and wife team we started hunting garage sales in the 70’s to decorate that College apartment on a budget. Those first treasure hunts grew into a shared passion that never ended.
