De Juaritoz con Amor
Gaec Studio operates in Chicago, IL but started in Cd. Juarez Chihuahua. Ever since I was in the secundaria, (middle school) I fell in love with visual arts and that is when I discovered my love for drawing, was actually something I could do in the adult world! G.A.E.C are my initials and I used to draw it on every single project I completed at school as my own personal "brand" haha.
GAEC Studio is inspired by my culture and family with the delicious food ive grown up on, the music we dance and sing to, the colors of our culture, and the way we like to talk.
After coming to live in the United States, I realize that my culture is not the "normal stuff" for everyone like I thought it would be (for some reason). Long story short, I married an American/Filipino man and I realized even more, how everyone is so unaware of my culture, as I was of theirs. I loved sharing everything with him and seeing his reaction to our food and the way we like to party until late hours. This inspired me to show our culture to EVERYONE!
