Announcement    Gaijin Geisha? How do you pronounce that and what does it mean?!
(guy-jean gay-shuh)

Gaijin Geisha - Gaijin is sort of a derogatory term used during the war by the Japanese to describe (usually), the American soldiers that were all over the island. It means "outsider". Geishas have been around since the 1600s.
Today, there are only a few thousand traditionally trained Geisha. A Geisha's job is not to provide sexual favors. Rather, she entertains with her singing, dancing and conversation.

My mother is Japanese and my father is American. I grew up with both cultures and thought that putting the two terms together was a really fun way to describe my background. :)

I am also a Marine Corps Veteran. I served with the U.S. Marine Corps Field Bands for 4 years and left the Corps as a Sergeant. I was also lucky enough to serve a tour in Okinawa, Japan which is where I was born.

Currently I work as a Community Outreach Director and also have an 14 year old son who plays trombone and is active in school and other extra curricular activities, and he will also sometimes have items for sale in my shop! I love that he enjoys making things with me from time to time.

Etsy is an enjoyable and much needed creative outlet that helps keep me in balance.

I hope you enjoy your shopping experience!

My favorite materials are copper wire, semi-precious stones and pretty much any kind of bead! I love wire crochet, but I am branching out into different techniques. I have also started learning how to sew and have been doing so for a year as of May 2011. I love to find fun, quirky fabrics and put them together to make fun, whimsical aprons and things.

I check the site daily and can mail out items Monday through Friday. All purchases received after 2pm central standard time will be mailed out the following business day. Any items purchased during Sat and Sun will be sent out the following Monday.

I ship domestically and internationally - items are NOT insured. After an item leaves my hands, I am not responsible for theft . If this is a concern for you, please convo me and I will find out the cost of mail insurance for your purchase.

I love my work and I want you to enjoy it as well. If you receive a piece and are not satisfied with it, please return it within 10 business days and I will refund your money or let you choose a different item from my shop that is of the same monetary value . For international orders, we can work something out on a case-by-case basis as 10 days is probably not enough ship time. :)

I currently only accept PayPal, Etsy gift cards and credit cards as a forms of payment. Please, please please - make sure that your Etsy address matches with your address on your Paypal acct. If it is different, please convo me the address that you want me to ship your merchandise to.
