Berömt för sina kändisar, ikoniska herrgårdar, pittoreska byar och oändliga sanddyner, är East End, allmänt känt som Hamptons, där mina nyckfulla karaktärer bor. Det är i min ateljé som de, på något sätt, försvinner ur min fantasi och målas på duk. Sedan, med ett penseldrag, vaknar de till liv med glädje. Liksom människorna som bor och semestrar i Hamptons, firar mina fiskar havets magi. De surfar, de seglar, de leker, de festar.
Förutom finurliga illustrationer fördjupar jag mig ofta i den abstrakta målerins magi och utforskar färgens och texturens språk.
Jag har ingen formell utbildning. Bara ett lyckligt liv av att rita, måla och drömma.
Famous for its celebrities, iconic mansions, quaint villages, and endless dune beaches, the East End, commonly known as the Hamptons, is where my whimsical characters reside. It is in my studio that they, somehow, exit my imagination and pour onto the canvas. Then, with the stroke of a brush, they come joyfully alive. Like the people who live and vacation in the Hamptons, my fish celebrate the magic of the seaside. They surf, they sail, they play, they party.
In addition to whimsical illustrations, I often immerse myself in the magic of abstract painting, exploring the language of color and texture.
I have no formal training. Just a happy lifetime of drawing, painting and dreaming.
