Created in a small corner of my tiny studio apartment, Galloree Designs LLC Founder, Nicole Bonifacio - a first generation-born, Filipino California girl, Bay-Area raised, now native New Yorker - I opened my online stationery shop with the intention of inspiring and uplifting those suffering with their mental health.
The end of 2021 was a tough year for me; I wasn't in the best mental head space. I started to seek out therapy as a way to deal with a lot of anxiety and depression I was dealing with at the time. My therapist suggested I start journaling to relieve the many thoughts roaming around in my head. Journaling instantly became therapeutic to me, where I also started making videos on my Tik Tok dedicated to journaling and dealing with my mental health. So many people related to my videos that I wanted to continue growing, creating my own journals that were aesthetically pleasing to me, but also let me fill the empty pages with my thoughts. Slowly, creating journals became so fun to me, that I started expanding by creating even more stationery - sticky notes, notepads, stickers, washi tape, and now bullet journals! I found bullet journaling another form of therapy to me, as well. Creating beautiful things is just a way for me to open up and let you into my world. The fact that people buy my art is so crazy to me and I am forever grateful that I'm able to share it with you all.
I read a quote that spoke to me during my process of creating these beautiful, celestial stationery: "The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all of my secrets."
We are all on a mental health journey, bettering ourselves, focusing on self love and self care. Honestly, words hurt. Which is why I gear my shop towards promoting positive phrases and affirmations. Spreading kindness and love is what we're all about because we all need it. Even in the most simplest, smallest ways. Whether it be a sticker to remind ourselves that, "I matter." Because you do matter. The world needs more of you. You are here for a reason. And we hope we inspire you to keep going.
