So glad you stopped in to visit us at Gathering Friends Quilt Shop! We're Kathy and Deb, sisters-in-law that actually like each other. We're so excited to share our shop with you on Etsy. We've had our shop since 1998 and have a blast working together. We have precut fabric bundles from all the latest and greatest designer lines, ready to send your way. Our passion is color and design, so we get to play all day!
Our favorite thing to do is design and create original quilt designs for our line of books, Gathering Friends. Let us take you to that indulgent world of color, beauty and texture, taking a break from the crazy pace to snuggle in and browse through our inspiring designs. Call it a little vacation without leaving home. In our shop, not only will you find amazing books to spark your imagination, but you'll also find gorgeous fabric in a variety of colors and tones, so you can play at home. This is beautiful fabric. I don't think I have ever seen such vibrant colors before! Such high quality. I am excited to use the fabric, but I also like it so much I don't really want to cut into it! I tried to upload a photo of the fabric, but kept getting an error.

Gathering Friends~Tradition with a Twist!

Deb and Kathy, sisters-in-law first....shop owners second, started Gathering Friends Quilt Shop in 1998. They started with a turn of the century bank building, gave it an extreme makeover and haven't looked back. They designed on a small scale since opening, but when their Moda rep asked them to design quilts around her fabric line and write a book, they jumped in feet first. In 2004, they bought the 2 neighboring buildings and expanded. Their shop is right at the only stoplight in a quaint little town of 1100. It now houses not only their quilt shop, but also a gallery with ample space to show off all their original designs. To date they've written 24 books and show no signs of slowing down. 20 of the books are in print at the present time. They love to play with color, texture and traditional, rolling them all into one.
