The Evolution of Geek Fire Labs
After getting caught in a wave of layoffs at my job in early 2012, I decided it was time for a change. You know. Follow my bliss, go where my heart goes. And my heart regularly plays D&D, queues up for the midnight release of the newest Marvel movie, stays inside to farm pets in World of Warcraft and lives for putting the beatdown on others in Overwatch. In other words, I'm a huge geek!
In October 2012, I began regularly selling my wares at Artist Alleys within comic book conventions and found I enjoyed it immensely. In addition to producing and selling my art prints I began playing with bath and body supplies, making lip balms for friends and family. I found they brought delight to the faces of my loved ones! So I decided to share that delight with the online community.
Now I offer a wide selection of handmade lip balms and hand-blended, artisan perfumes on my Etsy store. I am always evolving and growing my selection of products, and I work hard to incorporate a fun, professional flair with all the best ingredients and practices I can find.
Between my Etsy store and my art shows, I have managed to turn a passion into a small but successful side business, and I will be forever thankful to those who have supported me on the journey. I couldn't have done it without all of you!
