GenesisMarketplace Privacy Policy

GenesisMarketplace was founded by Everett Blake. This policy explains how the shop handles personal information associated with Etsy purchases and customer enquiries. Etsy operates its own platform and describes its separate practices at https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy.

Information and purposes
The shop receives information Etsy makes available for a transaction, which may include your name, email address, order details, billing or location information, and messages or files you choose to send. We use the relevant information to supply purchases, help with downloads, answer questions, manage disputes and maintain business records.

Where applicable, we rely on performing our agreement with you, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the shop, subject to your rights. Optional promotional email requires separate permission; placing an order alone does not provide that permission. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.

Sharing and records outside Etsy
Order and support information may be retained outside Etsy in the email or business-record services used by the shop. Their providers process information as needed to supply those services. We limit disclosure to information needed for the relevant purpose. We also exchange information with Etsy to administer purchases and may disclose records when required by law or necessary to handle a legal claim. We do not sell customer information.

Retention
We retain information while it is needed to complete an order, provide related support, resolve an open dispute, or satisfy applicable tax, accounting or other legal recordkeeping requirements. Retention decisions consider the type of record, outstanding requests or claims, and applicable legal deadlines. When those reasons no longer apply, records under the shop's control will be deleted or anonymised. Etsy independently determines retention on its platform.

International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where international-transfer safeguards are required, transfers will use an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about processing relevant to your records.

Your rights and contact
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. We may request information needed to verify a request.
