Siempre me han apasionado la joyería y el diseño. Debido a mi amor por las piedras / materiales naturales y el deseo de crear joyas hermosas y asequibles, comencé a diseñar y hacer joyas para mí hace 15 años. Llegaron muchas peticiones de collares, pulseras y pendientes para amigos y familiares... y pronto amigos de amigos y completos desconocidos estaban solicitando artículos. Fue muy divertido ... Estaba enganchado.
Después de un par de años y con el apoyo de mi increíble esposo y tres hijos increíbles, floreció un negocio inesperado. Inicialmente, se llamaba Terra Designs. Ese nombre nunca sonó cierto para mí. Luego tuve un momento de "God Wink" y nació "Genesis One Designs".
Durante 10 años centré mi negocio en la creación de artículos con piedras naturales y semipreciosas. He tenido diseños presentados en boutiques locales, eventos "swag bags" y en varios blogs. También me pidieron que diseñara para una nueva empresa basada en el catálogo de joyas. Fue divertido... pero algo faltaba. Me sentía abrumado y decepcionado al mismo tiempo y estaba muy cerca de dejarlo. Afortunadamente, mis increíbles clientes y familiares me animaron a continuar.
Estoy muy agradecido por sus consejos. Porque en 2012, la parte más satisfactoria de poseer un negocio de joyería se introdujo cuando las joyas de metal estampadas a mano llamaron mi atención. La alegría que obtengo al crear piezas personalizadas especiales y significativas para otros no se puede medir. Incluso me encargaron (por la madre de un miembro del elenco) crear 150 llaveros para el elenco y el equipo del programa de televisión "Parenthood".... ¡eso fue increíble y surrealista! Tan fantástico como eso fue, mis momentos favoritos son durante exposiciones de arte y mercados, escuchando historias de cómo la joyería de Genesis One Designs ha tocado vidas. Por eso hago lo que hago. Es verdaderamente un regalo de Dios. Ver a las madres afligidas emocionarse cuando ven el verso de la vida de su hijo en un collar o brazalete trae una especie de alegría y agradecimiento que es difícil de explicar. Y alabo a Dios por eso.
Todo lo que soy, todo lo que hago es gracias a Él.

I have always been passionate about jewelry and design. Because of my love for natural stones/materials and the desire to create beautiful and affordable jewelry, I began designing and making jewelry for myself 15 years ago. Many requests came in for necklaces, bracelets and earrings for friends and family...and soon friends of friends and complete strangers were requesting items. It was so much fun.....I was hooked.
After a couple of years and with the support of my incredible husband and three amazing kids, an unexpected business blossomed. Initially, it was called Terra Designs. That name never rang true for me. Then I had a "God Wink" moment and "Genesis One Designs" was born.
For 10 years I focused my business on creating items with natural and semi-precious stones. I have had designs featured in local boutiques, event "swag bags" and on several blogs. I was also asked to design for a new jewelry catalog based company. It was fun...but something was missing. I was feeling overwhelmed and underwhelmed all at the same time and I was very close to calling it quits. Fortunately, my incredible customers and family encouraged me to continue.
I'm so very thankful for their advice. Because in 2012, the most fulfilling part of owning a jewelry business was introduced when hand-stamped metal jewelry caught my eye. The joy I get when creating special and meaningful personalized pieces for others cannot be measured. I was even commissioned (by a cast member's mom) to create 150 keychains for the cast and crew of the television show "Parenthood"....that was amazing and surreal! As fantastic as that was, my favorite moments are during art shows and markets, hearing stories of how Genesis One Designs jewelry has touched lives. THAT is why I do what I do. It is truly a gift from God. Watching grieving mothers get emotional when they see their child's life verse on a necklace or bracelet brings a kind of joy and thankfulness that is difficult to explain. And I praise God for that.
All that I am, all that I do is because of Him.
