This is our story!
Some of the most meaningful things in life are made by hand. A favourite dress. A tiny baby outfit. A special occasion gown. A simple linen shirt you'll reach for again and again.
But before any of those pieces come to life, they all begin with a pattern.
That's where our story begins.
Georgette Patterns is a mother-and-daughter business built on two generations of knowledge, creativity, and a shared love for sewing.
Gina, the heart behind every pattern, graduated in Textile Chemistry and Technology in 1985 and has spent more than three decades working in garment construction and pattern making. She believes that a well-made pattern is much more than lines on paper—it's the foundation of a garment that fits beautifully and feels wonderful to wear.
Raluca brought a fresh perspective after graduating in Fashion Design from the University of Westminster. Together, we combine technical precision with modern design, creating patterns that are timeless, wearable, and genuinely enjoyable to sew.
Every pattern starts with an idea.
From there, it goes through countless sketches, pattern drafting, sewing, fitting, adjusting, grading, photographing, filming, testing, and refining before it ever reaches your hands.
We don't rush this process. If something can fit better, we improve it. If an instruction isn't clear enough, we rewrite it. If a tester gets stuck, we find a better way to explain it.
Because we know what it feels like to spend hours sewing a garment, and we want that experience to be joyful—not frustrating.
Our goal has never been simply to sell sewing patterns. Our goal is to give you the confidence to create clothes you'll be proud to say: "I made this."
Whether you're sewing your very first garment or your hundredth, we want every project to feel achievable.
That's why every pattern is carefully drafted, thoroughly tested, and paired with detailed instructions and step-by-step video tutorials designed to guide you from the first cut of fabric to the final stitch.
We believe sewing is about so much more than making clothes.
For some, it's a creative escape. For others, it's a moment of calm after a busy day. It's a way to express yourself, to create something unique, to slow down, to learn new skills, or simply to enjoy making something with your own hands.
Whatever brought you here, we're honoured to be a small part of your sewing journey.
