I remember as a child watching my mother sew, crochet, decorate cakes... Seems like when some new craft was introduced she always tried it. As children my four sisters and I received handmade gifts for Christmas that I now realize mom had to stay up late into the night to work on for us. We took it all for granted and unfortunately never really appreciated all her hard work. Now that I'm all grown up I too enjoy this craft and am very blessed to have her talent for making things.

That being said, I opened my Etsy shop in August 2013 at the encouragement of my daughter. Being a "newby" at retail I've tested out selling what I believe to be items that people would enjoy. What I have found to be consistent is that people remember what mom and Grandma used to make and love to have it for themselves. Some of the things that I have sold the most of are throwbacks of what we used as kids. It worked then and we still enjoy them today.

I am mother to a beautiful daughter and have a wonderful son-in-law and awesome husband. My daughter and son-in-law have blessed me with the two most handsome grandsons in the entire universe. Being a grandmother certainly puts life in perspective. I know that I am truly blessed to have an amazing family.
