Laura's drawing and mixed media work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions at regional and national venues, including the University of Hawaii, MFA City Gallery (Baltimore), Elaine L. Jacobs Gallery (Detroit), Lemon Street Gallery (WI), Bowling Green State University (OH), Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (MI), Illinois Central College, Muskegon Museum of Art, and Lowell Area Arts Council.
Her work has been published in The Best of Artists and Artisans (2006, Kennedy Publications), as well as The Art of Teaching Art (2000, Oxford University Press) and Drawing Essentials; A Guide to Drawing From Observation (2008, Oxford University Press), two books by Deborah A. Rockman.
In 2009, she was awarded a fellowship to the Provincetown Community Compact (MA) artist-in-residence program at the Cape Cod National Seashore. Also in 2009, she was honored with a Distinguished Alumni (Community Service) award from Kendall College of Art and Design. In 2011 and 2012, she was fortunate to be named as an artist-in-residence at the Glen Arbor Art Association (MI).
