About

It all started with a yard of felt..

GetSTUFT came about a few years ago when I had some leftover felt from a room project. I went online looking for things I could make with it and stumbled across troves of plushie tutorials. I tried my hand at a simple Kawaii tofu cube and the rest is history! My granny taught me to sew as a child but it did take a while to get back on that bike later in life. My projects consist of a bit new and old because I really love handsewing! Personally I think it adds to the homespun and sometimes downright odd charm of my creations. I create from what I find interesting and I don't use patterns so every item is slightly different. I cut right from memory and map out the shapes as I go. I don't always add the same embellishments, it all depends on what I have on hand! This is what I think sets my stuff apart from factory processed geekery.
Finally, I lovingly adorn many of my projects with atleast one button from the button box my Gran gave to me before she passed away. She had been collecting them from over 50 years and they are full of my family history, but I love knowing that they are going on to make other people smile through my creations. That's my legacy to her.

I so appreciate every one of your views, favourites and orders.. your support means the world and I couldn't do this without you.

Special thanks to my wonderful hubby who works so hard to allow me the freedom to chase this dream! I love you!

I live with my hubby in Winnipeg, MB and we have two beautiful girls who are growing up way too fast. When I'm not sewing I love to thrift and upcycle items of all kinds. I'm a real geek and I have a slight obsession with Star Wars and Batman. :P

Hi y'all! Thanks for coming by and checking out my stuff! I tend to generally create whatever pops into my head so anything goes really! I also have a deep love for zombies and so any item in my shop can be Zombified for a small additional fee. :)

My Philosophy!

I've worked for years in retail and I believe in fair practices. Fair for the customer as well as the shop owner and that mutual respect is the definite key to success!
Making people happy is really important to me and I love nothing more than seeing my work bring smiles to my customers' faces! Its the best part of my job! I make a point of giving 110% to every project I take on so that when you open your package you can really see all the love and care that went into it!

To think that my work is respected enough to be brought into people's homes, becoming part of traditions, given as gifts etc. is a great honour. I couldn't ask for anything more and I so appreciate every order, favourite, follow and view.
Interested in seeing more happy customers? :)

Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery
I don't accept returns or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
As situations vary, If you are unhappy with your item please get in touch with me right away and we can discuss a solution. :)

I work hard to ensure your items arrive as they are pictured and that they are high-quality but due to their handsewn nature there is always a chance of a loose thread if they are handled frequently or roughly. I also use hot glue on certain elements of my items so there is a chance there may be a spot of glue that has gone unnoticed as well. Do understand though that while I make every effort to ensure each item is of high standard it is often just the nature of handcrafted fare.

Felt is a fabric known to pill when handled frequently, so I unfortunately am not able to refund on that premise. Certain items are available in fleece and is built into the price and others can be upgraded for a small fee. Just ask! :)

Shipping costs for exchanges are the responsibility of the buyer unless the mistake was made on my end.

Headbands are non-returnable for hygiene reasons.
Payment
**STANDARD POLICIES**

If you place an order for an item that is custom made or not something I have on hand and for whatever reason decide you don't want to continue, YOU WILL LOSE 50% of your payment. Your shipping will be refunded.
My items are handmade and if I've already spent time working on your item I feel its unfair to not be compensated for it.
If I have finished your item, there will be NO REFUND aside from shipping, unless you decide to take the item after all where the transaction will be completed as per usual.

If for whatever reason, you have an outstanding balance and you are not responding to my attempts to contact you to complete the transaction, you will lose your initial payment(s) after TWO WEEKS, and the item will not be shipped to you.

For large wedding or commercial type orders, a non-refundable 40% deposit is required to hold your place if you require more than six (6) of an item.

Orders must be paid in full before I'll start any work on any item.

If you would like a preview of a custom item before buying, I'm happy to do a quick sketch for you.

Thanks for your understanding.
Shipping
Shipping costs listed are basic untracked postage for U.S residents. Canada requires tracking so that's built into the listed price. Insurance is also available for a fee.. just message me for a quote.

You can add a tracking upgrade to your order by visiting the "Order Add-Ons" section!

ITEMS LOST IN TRANSIT WILL BE REVIEWED SITUATIONALLY BUT A REFUND IS NOT GUARANTEED.

Some smaller items have combined shipping listed, but larger items don't as the size of the box or mailer will depend on the number of items ordered. If you are buying a number of things, please message me beforehand and I can give you a quote! :)

I am also willing to ship to internationally, so if you are interested in an item please msg me as I will have to get a quote for the shipping cost.

Any duty fees and taxes on items for international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer. It is also your responsibility to pay for your item to be resent should you have the incorrect address on file and your package is returned to me.
Additional policies and FAQs
All items in my shop are handmade so are made-to-order and depending on volume of orders may take slightly more time or less time than what's advertised. I always aim to get the item done earlier when possible and majority of the time do, but on occasion may need an extra day or two if I'm dealing with a backup of orders. Communication is top priority next to the quality of my work, so you'll always know what's going on! :)
