It Started With a Love of Crafting… and Got a Little Out of Hand
Getting Crafty by Robin is the creative adventure of husband-and-wife team Robin and Dan. The name may say “by Robin,” but behind every woman with multiple craft rooms is a husband wondering where all his storage space went. 😂
I've been a lifelong crafter and tinkerer. I love experimenting with different materials, colors, textures, ribbons, florals, greenery, signs, and embellishments until an idea finally becomes the piece I had pictured in my head. I don't particularly enjoy creating the same thing over and over—I love the challenge of making something distinctive.
Our story has traveled a few miles, too. After our time in North Pole, Alaska, we eventually made our way to Beavercreek, Ohio to be closer to family. That's where Getting Crafty by Robin has continued to grow—along with my collection of ribbon, florals, wreath forms, signs, greenery, ornaments, and apparently every storage tote ever manufactured.

Most of my designs are created individually in my Beavercreek craft studio. Some are elegant, some whimsical, some traditional, and occasionally one is wonderfully over-the-top. I work with everything from grapevine and greenery to deco mesh, premium ribbon, florals, ornaments, signs, and seasonal embellishments.
You'll find wreaths, door swags, centerpieces, seasonal décor, memorial designs, and even slimmer-profile wreaths created for homes with storm or screen doors.
Whatever I'm making, my goal is the same: create something I'd be proud to display in my own home.
Your Idea Is Welcome Here. One of my favorite parts of this business is working with customers to create something personal.
Maybe you love one of my designs but want a different ribbon. Perhaps you need particular colors, a special sign, a first-responder theme, something for a difficult-to-fit door, or an idea that doesn't exist in my shop at all.
Message me. Some of my favorite projects have started with a customer saying, “Robin, do you think you could…?”
