What We Do & Why We Do It
We hate plastic waste!
Everybody loves living in a world where there are tons of cute things to wear or put in your home. But what happens to all that stuff when we're done with it? When plastic stuff breaks, we usually can't fix it. And most plastic can't actually be recycled, much as the petrochemical industry would like us to think otherwise. Except for what we've shot into space or completely incinerated, every piece of plastic ever made still exists—hopefully in a landfill, but just as likely in our oceans, our waterways, and our bodies. Our jewelry is pretty cute, but is it cute enough to justify sitting in the ground for thousands of years when you're done with it?
Nah.
So we make everything out of wood, metal, and non-polymer based protective coatings. We do currently use acrylic paint in some items, and where we've done so this is indicated. Aside from this, if you receive any plastics in your order, it's because someone stuck them to the box.
