Hand personalized baby shower gifts, from embroidered bibs to carrier suck pads and nursing scarf covers. All handmade with love in Austin, Texas.
Gibberish Threads specializes in handmade baby shower gifts and embroidered patches. I personalize all of my bibs with hand embroidery, adding initials, a monogram, or full name to turn a useful bib into a beautiful gift and keepsake.
I started Gibberish Threads in 2015 after my first son was born. He was a BIG spit upper (eight bibs a day on average, no joke). So I was always looking for extra absorbent yet cute bibs. When I didn't find what I needed I started making them myself and just haven't stopped! All of my bibs are made with two extra absorbent 100% cotton layers. They last much longer than the typical thin bibs on the market so you don't have to change them as often.
I make every single item myself, from designing to cutting to sewing. I pride myself on having impeccable quality and attention to detail in every item that you find in my shop.
EVERY PURCHASE = ONE DONATED BOOK
Every item you purchase from my shop provides a book to a child through a donation to Room to Read. Founded on the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children®, Room to Read has been my favorite nonprofit since I began volunteering with them in 2008. Among other initiatives, Room to Read publishes books for children in the developing world, in their local language, to foster their love of reading and develop their literacy skills, giving them a greater chance at a quality education and improved future. This program doesn't only benefit the children--local illustrators, authors, and printers are also given work and a chance to impact their community. (Room to Read has a full range of literacy and gender equality initiatives. Read more about their awesome work and how they have impacted over 10 million children at http://roomtoread.org.)
THANK YOU for taking a look at my shop and reading this whole page! FYI that you can reach out to me with any questions. Just shoot me a convo on Etsy or Instagram (@gibberishthreads). Even if you just want someone to commiserate with about living in spit up covered pajama pants for weeks. #spithappens
