Gift Stockings Aren't Just for Christmas!
Christmas stockings have always been a really (really) big deal in our family. Knowing how much my sister loves stockings, I decided to make a birthday stocking for her birthday.
That very first birthday stocking was made from paper gift wrap and crudely cut into the shape of a stocking then taped together with clear tape. The paper stocking was shaped more like a boot and it was laced up with shoe strings made from raffia ribbon. We still have that paper stocking, it was a smash hit and the idea for a Birthday Stocking Store was hatched during that birthday celebration. “Why not?” is what we asked. Are there any rules saying gift stockings are ONLY for Christmas? We think not & hope you'll start new family traditions of your own by using our refillable, re-giftable gift stockings instead of cardboard boxes, tissue paper, ribbons & bows, wrapping paper and tape.
All of our gift stockings are meticulously handcrafted in our shop on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Each stocking uses four pieces of fabric, two pieces of interfacing, and two pieces of fluffy fleece. Each gift stocking is cut by hand, sewn by machine and then finished by hand. And, we are pleased to offer a few Premium Gift Stockings made from fabrics printed in the United States along with two stockings made from fabrics which are 100% made in the USA!
