¿Por qué reluciente Kist?

¿Por qué Vendimia?

¿Qué vendimia?
Selecciono artículos que personalmente me gustan y espero que a otros también les guste. Los accesorios vintage a menudo incluyen bolsos y carteras del pasado y los contenidos de época que los acompañan, p. polvos compactos, estuches para pintalabios y espejos.
Los hombres tampoco se olvidan, ya que hay una maravillosa variedad de accesorios para camisas y trajes para hombres, gemelos y alfileres de corbata que se pueden encontrar a principios del siglo XX.
También es genial encontrar fantásticas joyas vintage de fantasía del siglo XX y darle la oportunidad de brillar de nuevo. Algunas de mis favoritas son las piezas art deco, pero hay maravillosos broches de disfraces de la década de 1950 que también merecen la oportunidad de brillar en exhibición una vez más.
En Escocia también hay una gran variedad de piezas de joyería vintage de inspiración celta escocesa para redescubrir, que van desde lo clásico hasta lo kitsch.

Why Gleaming Kist?
Kist: Is an old Scots word for a box or coffer. I hope this GleamingKist will be filled with interesting vintage items and that as you browse you will find something to cherish.

Why Vintage?
Vintage offers so much, an opportunity to buy unusual and attractive pieces with character and a chance to sustainably reuse existing resources. The environmental advantage of vintage pieces is that they already exist; no new carbon or environmental footprint is expended in producing them. Purchasing vintage allows us to appreciate the design and aesthetic of the past. It also avoids these wonderful items being forgotten.
Each piece brings its own unique history of use whether it has been cherished or forgotten. So next time you’re looking for a gift or a little treat for yourself why not give the sassy, sustainable vintage option a go.

What Vintage?
I select items that I personally like and I hope others might too. Vintage accessories often include handbags and purses from the past and the period contents that go with them e.g. powder compacts, lipstick cases and mirrors.
Men aren’t forgotten either as there is a wonderful range of men’s shirt & suit accessories, cufflinks and tie clips to be found from earlier in the 20th Century.
It’s also great to find some fantastic 20th Century costume vintage jewellery and to give it a chance to shine again. Some of my favourites are the art deco pieces but there are wonderful 1950s costume brooches that also deserve their chance to sparkle on display once more.
In Scotland there’s also a great array of Scottish celtic inspired vintage jewellery pieces to be rediscovered, they range from the classic to the kitsch.
I also like to include a sprinkling of vintage home pieces and vintage collectibles that can add period flair to home décor or have interest for collectors.
