Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

All my pottery is high-temperature glaze-fired stoneware (cone 6-10, about 2200-2300°F) and is non-toxic (lead-free & cadmium-free), microwave-safe, and dishwasher-ready.
Hand washing with warm soapy water is recommended.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Let me know if this is a gift for someone and I will see if I can whip together something slightly more festive than the usual repurposed packaging, but only if I have something readily available.
I reuse and recycle my packaging as much as possible and minimize the use plastic and styrofoam, if at all.
I encourage you to please do the same.

Sizing details

I measure my pieces and approximate the dimensions within a quarter of an inch and to about an ounce, but please ask me if you need specifics or consult an online convertor for metric equivalents.

Disclaimer

I have tried to make the colors and finishes on screen as close as possible to the actual product. The photographs are of the exact item and will not be significantly different.
However, I cannot guarantee a precise match of colors and textures since these are limited by technology and may vary due to screen settings or personal perceptions.

Wholesale availability

Each piece is one-of-a-kind and unique, I am not a production potter and do not do wholesale.

Custom and personalized orders

I do not usually take custom or personalized orders, but you may contact me directly with any inquiries and ideas.

Free Shipping & Local Pick-Up

I no longer offer free shipping, it was just too costly and economically detrimental to my tiny side business and is unfair with my in-person sales.
If you are local to me and would like to pick-up the items yourself, please contact me before purchasing so I can factor in shipping reimbursement and arrange details for pick-up.

Returns & Exchanges

I no longer accept returns or exchanges.
The risk of damage or loss increases each time an item is shipped and my items are unique and one-of-a-kind, I do not have exact replacements.
I stand behind my products and have had several hundred happy customers over many years of online and in-person sales, so please see my seller rating and customer comments for reassurance and feel free to ask me anything before you decide to purchase.

Tracking Packages and Lost or Damaged Goods

All of my deliveries are through the USPS and have tracking numbers.
Please contact your local post office if an item does not arrive when due and keep me updated.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me immediately with detailed images and visit your local post office with the item and original packaging for an insurance claim as soon as possible.
I package my items very well, but cannot be responsible for the actions or conditions of the delivery service.
If I am at fault, I will cover the cost, replace the item, or give credit for something else.
If the USPS is at fault, I ask for your cooperation so we can both recoup our losses.
In all my years of sales I believe only three items were ever broken, so this concern is minimal.
