Welcome to Graceful Riot Studio!
I'm Ashley—the creator, designer, photographer, video editor, graphics designer, writer and artist behind everything you'll find here in this shop.
I created my official Etsy seller profile in July 2026. I began adding listings in late August 2026 when I was 1 billion percent sure that my digital listing graphics weren't completely unfortunate looking, and that my production and shipping inventory were stocked in full. Right now, I'm probably somewhere between photographing products, designing new ones, and organizing inventory. If the shelves here are looking a wee bit naked, please bear with me! Your girl is brand new to this amazing machine that we all know as Etsy. I have big plans for my tiny corner of the internet.
If you've made it this far, honestly... thank you. Supporting a small handmade business means more than most people realize, and I'm genuinely grateful you're here.
Graceful Riot Studio was born from my love of creating things that feel personal, meaningful, and a little unexpected. Chaotic good, as the young people say these days. One thing you'll notice pretty quickly is that my shop isn't built around one trend (heaven forbid!) or even one type of product. My brain simply won't allow it. Instead, Graceful Riot Studio is built around the belief that beautiful things can also be honest, un-manicured, imperfect, and functional—all while embracing a teaspoon of chaos.
There's another reason this small business means so much to me. When I went cold turkey, got sober, got help for untreated mental illness, and began trauma therapy in December of 2017, I believed I'd never create anything beautiful again. I didn't think I was capable of it anymore due to the lack of mind-altering substances. It's quite easy to fall into the trap of believing that creativity can surpass its peak after a few drinks—or in my case, a few...stronger things. When I became sober, it felt as if I was choosing between saving my own life while losing my creativity, or staying creative while risking death with every high.
As it turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong. Creating didn't disappear. It became one of the biggest reasons I've been able to remain sober and active in my own recovery for the last 9 years. Creating gives me life, purpose, and peace. It quiets my mind and allows me to live in the present. Every new design, every skill I've learned, and every late-night idea I've scribbled down serve as important reminders of how lucky I am to be alive. Creativity didn't survive my recovery—it flourished because of it.
My work is inspired by resiliency, healing, and the winding road that got me here. If I can imagine it, chances are I'll eventually figure out how to make it. Unfortunately, I wasn't born with 8 arms, hands, and opposable thumbs--a shame, really. That said, everything from Graceful Riot Studio is designed with care and produced in small batches.
As my shop grows, you'll find an ever-expanding collection of handmade accessories, artisan home décor, resin creations, fiber art, digital downloads, creative organization tools, DIY craft kits, and unique gifts designed to celebrate authenticity and resilience. Every new collection reflects the same goal: to create original designs that will empower, inspire, and be used for years to come.
Welcome to the riot. ♡
