Hello grownups who like to dress up and get serious about playtime! I love making Medieval and Renaissance garb and have enjoyed nearly 2 decades of merchanting at events. Seeing my creations go past on fellow SCA members, each of whom have added their own personal flair to their outfit, has been very satisfying. Though I must agree with the late David Bowie when he said he felt forever 20 – what is this “60” thing they talk about, I must admit I am getting older and the set up for event merchanting had become too much to deal with. Heavy canvas tents and weather never seem to mix well. I am very happy for the outlet that etsy has provided for my creative side and allowing me to keep supplying fellow re-enactors with the garb and accessories they need to play and learn. No tent required!

I have been active with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) for 30 years. I became involved when my then 5 year old son took a “Communiversity” class making cardboard helmets and duck tape covered swords. He loved it and I met the adults and discovered the wide variety of creative outlets the SCA offered. Years of research, many books purchased, and classes attended opened up an entirely new way for me to express myself through my lifelong love of sewing. I happily share that on this site.

I met my husband through the SCA and found that the adventures were just getting started. He has always been very supportive of my Medieval merchanting endeavors. As I have moved from the "wet tent" merchanting to online sales through etsy I have needed his expertise with computers as well as design assistance to expand my offerings. He is knowledgeable about fabrics so he shops for me so I can keep sewing. As I make my own patterns our collaborative head scratching when working out a cosplay request or how to make a Medieval garment work in a modern world can save the day.

Myself and my family practice Leave No Trace. We try to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We follow the "Three Rs" - reduce, reuse, recycle.

We do have cats, a dog, a rabbit, and an ocelot. They are not allowed in my workshop which is a separate structure on our heavily wooded land. In spite of that there may be “pet” on me as well as pollens from the forest and gardens.

Ready made items ship in 2-3 business days after PayPal payment is received. I can accept custom requests, such as certain fabrics or sizes. In most cases I would ship a custom item in 10 business days or less.

I do not give out my patterns as I have spent years developing and refining them.
