Impressionistic Paintings in the Studio
I know it sounds like a cliche, but believe me it’s not! I really am all about crafting green-wise. I’m very careful with how I dispose of soiled paints and dirty paint water, considering the effects on the environment when disposed improperly.
Here's a little background information on the artist in me:
My mother and grandmother were creatives. Mom was a decorator and often painted furniture and murals. I became a creator too and paint in acrylics to wood panels or wrapped canvas. Impressionism is my style. My works include country and mountain landscapes, lakeside scenes, florals, farm animals and woodland wildlife. Commissions are an option.
Many years after my husband and I left our 9 to 5 jobs in the city, we relocated to the rural community of Ellijay, Georgia. We have been entrepreneurs ever since we came here, and in 2012, I was introduced to a little co-op business for artists in Ball Ground, Georgia. I began teaching at a local antique shop and now am a full fledged member of The Art Guild at Gilmer Arts and enjoy teaching there.
In 2013, I joined Etsy and the rest is yet to be written. (Becca has a blog on Wordpress.com)
