The Green Man symbolizes Spring, Growth and Creativity
GreenManShop started during a vacation I took to Glastonbury, England. At that time I had been sewing costumes and making puppets for theater for seven years and was starting to want something new. I always appreciated good toys and never forgot my childhood friends. I had very close relationships with a few stuffed animals that gave me much comfort in teary moments. They were always there to hug me at night, and in all fairness I would hug them each in turn.
One day I started making dolls at my painting studio and within a week the whole place became a toy factory. I made most of the shop's designs in the first month, working at nights, obsessed with ideas and possibilities. I started selling my toys in Waldorf shops in Israel and opened my Etsy shop in 2009. The shop was an immediate success and during the first year I hired two more seamstresses and two women to help with cutting and filling and worked nonstop myself. By the end of the year we were selling to shops in the US and the UK and were offered a contract by a big online toy company. At the height of that we decided to leave for a year trip that became two wonderful years in Australia and Europe. Now we are back, making dolls and happy to be back in the Etsy community.
