📞 • • • If interested you can leave your phone number in the order and I’ll add it to the Shipping label. Sometimes UPS drivers reach out if they can’t find your address and unfortunately I’m not much help in that regard. This way they can call you directly.

❄️ If your plant hasn’t shipped by the “Ship By date”, please know it’s because I’m
holding it due to too low temperatures in your area. I check weather forecasts daily for every order in “cold states” and only ship when advisable. Please track your plant via tracking number provided and be home or make arrangements to receive it - Timing is very important for our green friends. :)

Not even heat packs can compensate for extreme cold weather. If you would like to cancel an order rather than hold it, let me know. Hope you understand that this is a precaution and for the safety of your plants. 💚

HOLD MAIL: If shipping USPS you can request them to hold mail for you to pick up at the post office - that way they don't have to take the package out on the road, in the cold. See link her: https://holdmail.usps.com/holdmail/

If your package ships UPS, I strongly encourage subscribing to their My Choice feature which will send you text/email notifications about your package as well as enable you to hold for pick-up or change delivery address.

FYI: Etsys Agreement with FedEX does not allow for holding or re-directing mail.


🌨 ❄️⛄️ Please remember to get a HEAT pack if your temperature is below 50 during the day. If you are not buying a heat pack, please make arrangements for USPS/UPS to hold your package so you can pick it up safely.

We wrap with extra paper and bubblewrap in winter but cannot guarantee plants purchased/shipped without heat pack(s) and not received in person, nor plants with heat that have exceeded the “working time” of the heat pack. Leaving plants in the cold WILL very likely kill them.

Freezing temp is 32F and tropical plants will not survive exposure to such temperature. We do not offer a Warranty or Refunds for plants that are cold damaged from lack of purchasing heat pack(s) or if the package is left outside.

If you are unsure how many heat packs you need for a plant, please ask and we will offer a recommendation. Remember that heat packs have a specific working time; 72 hours, 96 hours etc.

♨️ Do not let plants sit in temperatures over 85 degrees and under 45 degrees. Tropical plants are sensitive to extremes. Track your package and make sure you are there to receive it or that someone else is. Alternatively, have the Post Office hold your package if no one can be available when it is scheduled to arrive 👍.

(!) In WINTER and height of SUMMER We ship Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays to avoid any hold at a Carrier facility where we can't be sure that the temperature is adequate for the plant. Some plants that can handle an extra day or two in a box will ship any day of the week. We will ship other days only if requested or agreed upon.

If you are a One/Two-Day Priority Shipping from S.FL and can receive plants Saturday we will be more than happy to ship Thursday/Friday as well. Please put a note when ordering. For local One-Day ship, we will ship any day of the week :)

We ship in the pot whenever possible to lessen the shock for the plant. We also prefer to ship plants individually but can ship some plants together to lower the shipping cost for you. FYI plants are less likely to incur damage if shipped by themselves.

I encourage tracking on www.usps.com rather than on Etsy as it seems unreliable. Packages that have had a label created are shipped same day unless the label is created Sunday which is when we start packing. In this case it always leaves Monday. If a label is created after hours the package leaves the next day.

$$$ —— We use Etsy’s Calculated Shipping so everyone pays the EXACT dollar amount per destination from SFL rather than Free Shipping where some pay more and some pay less for what they would pay with Calculated Shipping. We find this the most fair for all shoppers, but it also makes it impossible (due to Etsy’s platform) to set up combined shipping. Therefore, if you are contemplating ordering more than one plant and would like a combined shipping quote, please reach out to me and I will do my best to calculate/combine the shipping for you based on weight, size of box needed and your zip code—-$$$. Be aware that turn-around time for messages depend on Order/Ship load. Multiple same-pot size will most likely be shipped Mon-Wednesday with UPS resulting in higher cost but faster delivery.



🚚 🌱 When you receive your new plant(s):

* Once you receive your order, please open the box carefully. Most plants are shipped in boxes meant to lay down and be opened from the long side of the box. Most of our plants are shipped in sleeves made of recycled paper. GENTLY remove the sleeve as well as the tape and tissue/newspaper that is taped to the pot to keep the soil from being dislodged during transport to you.

* We have watered the plant prior to shipping but please check the moisture level and give the plant a little water if the soil feels dry.

* Place your plant in a semi-shaded spot for a few days until it recovers from sitting in a dark box during the shipping to you.

* Check for damage and contact us immediately if you notice major issues. Superficial damage is not uncommon due to the way the plant may have traveled. Usually the plants are fine and will quickly recover from the journey. Send photos immediately of the box and plant if there is damage that didn’t occur during un-wrapping. Each package comes with USPS insurance of $100.00 and a claim should be filed with them. They will also need photographic evidence. Online Filing is easy using this link:

My plant has a few damaged leaves. What do I do?

Damage to leaves is superficial and can be remedied by removing the damaged leaves with sharp shears or scissors. The plant will grow new leaves to replace the damaged ones

I’ve received the wrong sized item. What do I do?

We are happy to remedy the situation should you have received the wrong size item. Please e-mail a picture with a measurement of the item, so we can verify with the order and correct the situation

I’ve received the wrong item(s). What do I do?

While we strive to fulfill every order accurately, sometimes a mistake might happen. Please contact us immediately, so we can remedy the situation.

My plant was damaged during shipping to me. What do I do?

We carefully sleeve, wrap, tape and secure the plant in the box to prepare for shipping to make sure you receive a good and healthy plant. Unfortunately, the postal service/shipping carriers are not as careful as we expect and hope for. Please email photos of the damaged plant and box so that we can file a claim with the carrier. The plants are shipped insured
