I am so pleased to have this bow and assortment of arrows. I will be using it in a classroom setting (my courses have a significant component of learning about history/literature through material culture) and the bow and arrows will be very helpful for this. Also, it is beautiful.

What Dictates the Price of my bows

One major factor is the price of materials. For example, a substantial piece of yew wood can cost as much $400 or as little as $40 depending on the quality, length, and clarity of the wood.
Lastly, you are paying for the labor that it takes to make the bows. It takes me “approximately” 20 hours to make any bow. The reason why I specify the word approximately is sometimes the wood presents certain problems such as twists, knots, etc. which increase the time because I have to work around such anomalies or flaws in order to make the bow perform to the best of its ability.

I started bow making at the age of 15. However the seeds for bow making were laid when I was about 13 when I tried to get back into archery after a long absence where I was only shooting maybe once or twice a year.
