About

It's OK to dress like a grown up.

When I decided some years ago that I wanted get a real, self-tie bow tie, they were fairly hard to come by and when you did find a source they tended to be quite expensive. I decided to have a go at making one myself... then two, then more.

People began to ask where I had gotten my bow ties, which prompted me to put a few up on Etsy to see what happened. I've been humbled by the response, and it's been fun to be along for the ride as bow ties make a bit of a well-deserved resurgence.

I'm an inveterate dabbler and tend to have too many ideas on the drawing board for my own good! When not working on products for my shop, I'm likely to be playing 19th century minstrel and classic style banjo.

This is a new store for crafters and artisans to sell their items at and it's opening this April 1, 2016. It's located at MAKE, 45 Main Street, Leominster, MA. PamsPawsJewelry will have handmade jewelry, mostly Sterling Silver and semi-precious gemstone beads, on display there which is for sale if you would like to see it! It is an ongoing venture provided by the small business community and Mayor Dean Mazzarella of Leominster. There is no end date for this but I have to post one so will post for end of this year for now. Also, it will be open Thursdays to Sundays probably afternoons for now. It is being started by the MAKE group in Leominster and membership is $50 per year. Contact Melissa Tasca at the City Hall.

We accept PayPal, Credit Cards (through Etsy direct checkout) and BitCoin. To pay with BitCoin, select the 'Other' payment method at checkout, and convo me for further instructions to complete the payment!
Shipping
Unless otherwise specified, items will ship via United States Post Office First Class Mail.

Domestic orders for items in stock will usually ship within 48 hours of payment. International orders for items in stock will usually ship within 72 hours of payment. The USPS does not operate on Sundays or Federal holidays, so shipment of orders placed on those days may be delayed by another 24 hours. Most of my ties are made to order, and will typically ship two weeks after the order is received. If you absolutely need a custom tie sooner, send me a conversation and we'll see what we can do.

If you need faster shipping on an item, convo me with details. USPS Priority Mail is a modest upgrade, and in extreme cases USPS Express is an option.

PHOTOS
---------------------
Listings for made-to-order items feature photos from previously sold ties made from the same material. This means that the exact placement of the fabric pattern will probably vary from the listing photograph. For smaller striped or checked patterns the difference should be basically unnoticeable.

CUSTOM DESIGNS
---------------------
If you have an idea for a custom pattern, we can work with you to design it and then have the fabric custom printed for you (please note that this will take approximately two weeks.) There will be an additional design fee, and the price of the project will also include the cost of the fabric itself. If the pattern is one that we would like add to the store, we may waive the fabric cost. Contact us for more details.

CUSTOM ORDERS
---------------------
If you need a tie for an event on a specific date (Wedding, graduation, etc.) please place your order at least three weeks in advance, and include a note about the specific date you need it for.

The current wait period for bespoke (custom) orders is two weeks, not including shipping, or turn-around time for custom-printed fabrics (see above.) If you want to place a custom order for a specific date, please add at least one week to that window to ensure plenty of time to get your order completed and shipped.

If you absolutely, positively need a custom item sooner than the standard 3 week window, we may be able to accommodate you for an additional rush fee, to be determined by how quickly you need the item and what is in our queue. Send us a conversation and we'll see what we can do.
