Vintage Fabric, Patterns, Buttons & Trim
My wish with my Etsy shop is to take the steps of selling with special care including thorough descriptions, great customer service, good photography, accurate bookkeeping, efficient shipping, and excellent communication.
Though I've done many things in my life, the common thread (ha ha!) has been fabric. My mom passed on her love of sewing to me at a young age - we even worked together at the mall fabric store when I was in high school. I learned more about fabric while studying Interior Design at BYU. When my children were small, I found my love for vintage fabric and sewed clothing with it for local boutiques.
I have now amassed a large collection of vintage fabric and still can't pass up an interesting piece now and then. My intention was to again create clothing out of it and sell here on Etsy, so I collected vintage patterns and notions, too. However, I am a slow seamstress and realized even if I sewed day and night for a year, I could hardly put a dent in my thousands of yards and patterns taking over the house.
"She who dies with the most fabric" does NOT win, just leaves a pile of fabric for her family... so I'm selling it... and it feels like the right thing to do.
I love passing these treasures on to you.
