Summer is earlier than normal, so foraging is slowing down. With the EXCEPTION of the Sweet Gum Balls!!!! Now in FULL harvest time!! Get ‘em before they are gone!

As a tribute to my Granny Granny, who passed a few years ago, I wanted to dedicate my new section of foraged item in her honor. Affer she passed, I was able to salvage her magnificent treasures she found on vacays in Florida anywhere from 1940’s-1970’s. Rocks were later once the shells became harder to find.

Tribute and cheers to this wonderful amazing woman I’ve been missing a lot lately. She managed to compile a textbook representation of Florida's prehistoric and modern coastal ecology and harvest a snapshot of a pristine Florida coastline that is incredibly hard to replicate today!

As a kid, I remember how excited we would both get when she walked me to the new treasure tables!!! Tables dedicated to cleaning and drying her hard found, heavy carry, treasures she had to keep up with from point A to B to Tennessee and to table!!!

20 years later, I am sharing her journey, in my own way, as a fellow forager. Now with an new appreciation I didn’t quite grasp 20 years ago. I always had the “bug” tho!

Family owned &operated in the heart of the East Tenneesee Valley. I'm a momma of 3, daughter, sister, & Auntie!!!! I hunt& forge & am always looking down at the things on the ground!! Always with my gorgeous Australian Shepherd silently guarding me as I walk and my “Chicken Puppy” who is always looking for a treat!
