It pays to take risks!
I studied art education in college. I explored all kinds of mediums for 3-D metal sculptures, to oil painting, to watercolors and ceramics. I loved creating visually beautiful things and I loved children, so art education was a good combination of both of those passions.
It wasn't until later, when I became a stay-at-home-mom, that I took a little leap and opened an Etsy Shop and decided to put myself out there and sell my own work.
My sales were slow at first, but I kept at it. I learned that practice and consistency are invaluable, and it pays to take some risks. Over the years, I have built my shop, specializing in bright, delicate, and soft watercolor paintings.
Lately, I have gotten into painting custom portraits for my customers and it brings me such joy and fulfillment to know that I can create things that are so meaningful to people's lives.
In 2016, I had the opportunity to license some of my work to a manufacturer that sells to Hobby Lobby! It was an amazing thing to see my own artwork on a shelf at that store! And it is amazing that this opportunity came about because of my decision to open my Etsy Shop over five years ago!

Accepted payment methods

Paintings whose dimensions are 11x14 inches or smaller are shipped flat. They are wrapped in a clear plastic sleeve with cardboard backing and mailed in a stiff cardboard mailer to avoid bending.
Paintings larger than 11x14 inches are carefully rolled, covered, and shipped in mailing tubes.
I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible. The shipping prices listed include the cost of shipping materials as well as the cost to physically ship your package.
* Please note that during the Holiday Season (November-December) that mail delivery is a little slower.
Refunds and Exchanges
If the item you receive is damaged, you must contact me within 5 days of receiving the item in order to receive a replacement or refund. I must also see a clear photo of the damage.
Loss: All items shipped within the US are shipped with tracking, but in the event that your item is lost in the mail, I will issue a full refund or replacement if possible. You must contact me within 30 days of placing your order to get a refund in this case.
If there are any other issues, please contact me as soon as possible. I will do what I can to make sure you are happy with your order and to resolve and issues.

Images of custom paintings may be used as promotional pictures to promote my business, unless otherwise requested by the buyer.
