Frequently asked questions

How do I wash and care for my fleece liners and accessories?

Machine wash cold or lukewarm using a non-scented detergent. You can add vinegar if needed to help with odor.
Hang drying is best, but tumble drying on low or using the “Air Fluff” setting is totally fine and can help remove fur.
Do not use hot water or high heat—this will shrink the fabric.
Bleach and fragranced detergent should never be used.

How often should I wash my fleece cage liners and pads?

Washing needs vary by pet and setup, but here’s a general rule of thumb. Spot clean the cage daily. If you’re using removable pads in high-use areas like kitchens, potty corners, or under hides, wash those every 3–4 days. The main cage liner usually goes 7–10 days between washes but may need to be changed sooner depending on use. If you’re only using a base liner with no pads, plan to change and wash it every 5–6 days. Be sure to check around the water bottle and kitchen area, most bottles drip! The liner wicks moisture and dries well, but it can’t do that if it stays waterlogged or sits in low airflow without a chance to dry between uses, which can create an unhealthy environment. Using pads in those areas helps!

What’s the benefit of using removable pads or waterproof potty pads?

Removable pads help extend the life of your main liner and make cleaning way easier, especially in high-use zones like under water bottles or in kitchen areas.

I also offer a waterproof upgrade on potty pads, this adds a waterproof backing underneath the absorbent layer. It’s great for water bottle drip areas or kitchen setups because it helps prevent soak-through into the base liner, reducing how often you’ll need to wash everything.

What are the benefits of using reusable fleece liners and pads instead of disposable bedding?

Reusable fleece liners and pads are more cost-effective long-term, better for the environment, and much more comfortable for your pets. They wick moisture away from the surface, keeping the cage drier and reducing odor when cleaned regularly. Unlike disposable bedding, there’s no constant mess or dust, and cleanup is as easy as shaking off debris and tossing items in the wash. Plus, they’re cute, customizable, and much gentler on sensitive feet!

Why do you use Zorb® instead of U-Haul blankets as the absorbent layer?
