Welcome to my Button Shop.

I specialize in buttons dating from the mid 1800s to the 1950s.

I am now creating Cockade button brooches for those who’d love to embellish their hats and jackets with button love.

My buttons are listed by their diameter size in millimetres.
They range in the following:

6 mm - 17 mm are SMALL
18 mm - 22 mm are MEDIUM
23 mm - 60 mm are LARGE

Using the SEARCH BOX will assist you to find your desired button size.

I have my own personal collection of insects, nature, people, and birds that inspire my sewing studio.
I organize my buttons by material and size in drawers.
These celluloids are from the 1920s to 30s.
It is always fun finding the right button for a hat design.
I made this large pincushion as a part for a Art installation. The Mother of Pearl buttons were the finishing touches.

It's all in the Detail

I began collecting button in the mid 1990s. I was always buying antique buttons for my designs, whether they were for a hat, bag, tea cozy, or scarf accents. I only purchased and kept the ones that were in great condition so that they could be used and seen again.

Today I sell to many people who also have a passion for these old beauties. I am happy to know that these small functional treasured designs are being enjoyed by other creative people in their textile art and and jewelry design.

I have a Facebook page called the Button Society of Canada. You are welcome to join. It is where people can share stories about how they fell into becoming a button collector.
