Gypsy Feather was born February 2008. My husband and I had just returned home to the piney woods of East Texas and I was restless for a new artistic outlet. Having been a creative soul all my life, I had collected a vast stash of vintage treasures from the endless ventures embarked upon over the past 30 plus years … crazy quilting, designing with vintage linen and lace, upholstering, creating soft home furnishings, designing and sewing young girls’ boutique clothing, designing jewelry, playing with decoupage and mosaics and collecting for an antique shop.
My daughter suggested I look into Etsy, a relatively new website (at the time) for buying and selling vintage items and unique, artistic goods. It was a good fit. The rest is history. Gypsy Feather is an outpouring of my ever-increasing stash to you, the collector and artist.
Aside from the hunt for vintage jewelry and embellishments, my creativity is satisfied in the vintage lace collages, inspiration kits, mixed media collections, yo-yo rosettes, pearl tassels, and other listings I assemble for the shop. It is my desire that my offerings inspire creativity in others.
