Be a gypsy, free and wild in all moments in life through mind, body, spirit, and goat soap.
Hey there! I'm Jess and I am the owner/maker of Gypsy Goat Soaps. My soap business is based out of my husband and I's farm, JJ Farm.
JJ Farm is a 17 acre farm located in the upstate of South Carolina. My husband, Jordan, and I bought the land and built a tiny home a couple years ago to start our lives together and raise our tribe. In the year of 2019, we built a larger house because our tribe grew with our first human baby, our son River Hawk. The tiny house is now a miscellaneous building but I keep referring to it as the soap studio because thats where all the soap magic is still going down and besides us here on the farm, current members of the tribe include dogs, goats, chickens, turkeys, and guineas. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, I am huge animal lover which has definitely rubbed off on my husband but more importantly led to my dream or obsession of owning goats. My senior year of college, my college advisor sparked my interest of owning goats even further after she spoke about her farm, dairy goats, and soap making business. I was stuck on the idea of goat milk soap and after three years, here I am.
Our farm and animals provide us great veggies, fruits, herbs, eggs, and fresh raw goat milk. Our dairy goats are Nubian/Alpine crossed. The cross-breed provides a moderate amount of milk production. Currently we have five does (one in milk), our 100% Nubian Breeding buck, Arlo, and two wethers, one being a Nigerian Dwarf my husband and I had before moving out here to JJ Farm.
With all the milk we were collecting, it was finally time to get serious about the soap business. I have spent a lot of time over the past year planning, creating recipes, making the recipes, as well as naming the business and designing the logo. My husband has spent his time in the soap business being the guinea pig and my biggest critic when it comes to the scents and designs.
Gypsy Goat Soaps provides handmade raw goat milk soap with simple ingredients making a 98% - 100% all natural soap bar. See more about our ingredients in the listings. I use the cold process method when making my soap bars. After the initial soap is made it has to cure for at least 4 weeks.
I sure hope you enjoy these goat milk soap bars. I am always open to hear feedback and scent ideas. I am also open to bulk orders for wholesale/retail or special events such as bridal shower, wedding, baby shower favors, and etc. If you are interested please contact me and know that I would need at least 2-3 months notice before the intended date of the event.
