Hand and Hide has been helping revitalize American craft since 2011. Our goods hark back to an era when local crafters made their wares one at a time by hand. Our made-to-order approach allows us to give each and every item our personal time and attention. Hand and Hide leather goods are made with quality materials such as full-grain leather and remain beautiful and useful for decades.
Who?
Owner and designer Jeff Amrhein was traveling and photographing in the Middle East when he was inspired by the skill of the leather craftspeople in Morocco. On his return to the States he began developing his own leather craft tradition by creating timeless looking accessories for commute and travel.
What?
Our leather goods are influenced not only by what we use every day but also by our locale. The Pacific NW is chock full of inspiration, from cozy coffee shops to quiet wooded trails. We are constantly creating for those who like to curl up with a journal and cup of coffee as well as those who are constantly on the go with their job in their bag. Our tech accessory and travel collections keep your phones, chargers, and tablets organized and accessible at all times. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to ensure your fragile phones and accessories are kept safe inside of our durable leather goods.
How?
Our small team of dedicated makers stitch and hammer each piece by hand. That way no stitch or rivet is ever out of place. All items are checked by multiple staff members before they head out the door. Our level of quality is as high as our customer satisfaction.
