Everything old is new again...to someone...
I began in 1986 to design jewelry in south Florida under the name of Design by Dana located within Bal Harbor, Florida. I gained inspiration from Italian and French designers, local artists around the world, and craft and flea markets from numerous countries,
My first creations included a collection of vintage earrings ,necklaces and bracelets. Thereafter, I incorporated into my collection themed handbags, such as the New York skyline, Las Vegas, Elvis, Harley Davidson, South Beach etc. The designs utilize Swarovski crystals, semiprecious stones, Japanese seed beads, and other unusual materials handcrafted on either leather or brass evening or daytime bags. Each piece in the collection is named and signed by myself.
Besides designing each piece from its inception, all work was done by hand.
I have sold my work in better department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, high-end boutiques, and trade shows in cities throughout the world. My work has been showcased in fashion publications such as Bazaar, Mirabella, Elle, and Women's Wear Daily,
While most of my designs are nearly 30 years old, their appeal is as relevant to today’s fashion conscious collectors, as it was when first created.
