Nell'estate del 2016, ho deciso di fare un passo indietro dal lavoro a tempo pieno per stare con la mia famiglia. Anche se è stato difficile farlo, ho colto questa come un'opportunità per spostare il mio lavoro creativo al livello successivo. Fu allora che l'idea di aprire un negozio Etsy iniziò a fiorire.
Ho iniziato a sperimentare con la creazione di gioielli, l'uncinetto e la semina succulenta. Ma nulla sembrava attaccarsi. Sul punto di arrendersi, una mia amica (che è un'artista / graphic designer di grande talento) mi ha inviato una foto del suo autoritratto poligonale. Questo era l'aha! momento per me. Mi ha ricordato il mio amore per l'arte geometrica, in particolare l'arte poligonale in quanto può essere semplice, ma allo stesso tempo intricata. Dopo ore, giorni e mesi di sperimentazione e miglioramento della mia tecnica, ho iniziato a condividere il mio lavoro sui social media e ho ricevuto molti feedback positivi! Con questo, sapevo che la mia arte poligonale aveva bisogno di una casa su Etsy.
La mia visione con HagarDesign è quella di fornire opere d'arte fatte a mano semplici, senza problemi e convenienti a chiunque in tutto il mondo! Questo è il mio piccolo contributo per contribuire a rendere il mondo un posto più bello.
In the summer of 2016, I decided to take a step back from working full-time to be with my family. Although it was difficult to do so, I took this as an opportunity to move my creative work to the next level. This was when the idea of opening an Etsy shop began to bloom.
I started experimenting with jewelry making, crocheting, and succulent planting. But nothing seemed to stick. On the verge of giving up, a friend of mine (who is a very talented artist/graphic designer) sent me a photo of her polygonal self-portrait. That was the aha! moment for me. She reminded me of my love of geometric art, especially polygonal art as it can be simple, but yet intricate. After hours, days, and months of experimenting and enhancing my technique, I began to share my work on social media and I received a lot of positive feedback! With that, I knew my polygonal art needed a home on Etsy.
My vision with HagarDesign is to provide simple, hassle-free, and affordable handmade art work to anyone across the globe! This is my small contribution to help making the world a more beautiful place.
