When we dividing my Grandfather's belongings, there was a piece similar to this one that has come down from my great-grandparents on my Dad's side. For whatever reason... I wanted it so much! But... my Dad wanted it too. About a decade after that, a squirrel got into the house, and in the pandemonium to get it back out again--my great-grandfather's piece did not survive. The truly amazing thing about Etsy is it is now possible to make small family "tragedies" like this right. I had this glass sent to my Dad for his birthday this year... he is newly widowed, and... well, receiving this gift from me made him happy on the first birthday in 58 years that he is spending alone. Thanks for shipping this one out in a timely manner, and getting it to him for his special day.
