Color Color and Color!!!
I grew up learning how to knit and even knit our pet chickens capes! I learned to spin yarn out of college and both spinning and knitting is a hobby I enjoy. I love the process from cleaning a raw sheep wool, combing or carding, spinning, dyeing, to finally knitting something that someone will love. I do most of my knitting for family but I have a lot of yarn and fiber so some of my knits make it here!
Tsumami Kanzashi started with a trip to Japan when I was out of college. I instantly fell in love and when I came back I just knew I had to make them. There were no teachers, classes, or books. A lot was trial, error, and research on how to dye, how to make rice starch, construction, and finishing. I am still learning and recently got into making resin kanzashi out of pour resin (not dip resin). This is still a process and I hope you will enjoy the ride with me!
My favorite color is....Rainbow! I am addicted to color!
