Welcome to Hand and Homes! We have always loved the natural beauty of reclaimed Blue Pine and for years have used this material in building and designing a variety of areas in a variety of homes. The natural coloring created as a Rocky Mountain Pine dies from an excess of beetles boring into its bark happens as a protective measure that the tree has to survive. Unfortunately, the beetles can be overwhelming, but what is left is a beautiful wood that is taken to clean the forests of dead trees and then repurposed into so many decorative treasures.

So much of this wood is harvested to clear the forests and may not always have large amounts of the Blue & Grey ribboning that makes it so popular, but still has the properties of all Blue Pine. This is one of the main reasons why we created Hand and Homes. We use the less Blue & Grey boards with a variety of beautiful stains and finishes. We take the heavier Blue & Grey wood and make custom natural Blue Pine décor.

Our Story: We have always loved the natural beauty of reclaimed Blue Pine and for years have used this material in building & designing a variety of areas in a variety of homes.
